This week IDS highlighted a plan to help the long-term unemployed get back into the habit of regular work. Dr Williams predicts Armageddon. Why comment on one but not the other?

Why comment on something you disagree with rather than standing up and saying "I agree with what he said"?
Bit of a stupid question really.
Who is going to pick up where minimum welfare benefits are withdrawn, to ‘help the long-term unemployed get back into the habit of regular work’ or misdirect away from an ineffective elite?
Its not simply that the Charitable Sector, represented by the Church and other faith groups, is picking up the bill for this grandstanding nonsense but that this is a wicked policy and most of those sat behind IDS will be made fully aware of this, as I am sure you will too, on this or future Sundays. ‘Simply because there are not visible means of death before them, at any given moment, the Wicked should not, therefore, feel secure.’
Or should I ask "what miserable drones and traitors have I nourished and brought up in my household, who let their lord be treated with such shameful contempt by a low-born cleric?" And which are you le Breton FitzUrse, de Moreville, or de Tracy?
James, as someone who lives and works in your area (Petts Wood) perhaps the reason is that the archbishop like many MP's is not part of the real world.
They live in their ivory towers and really have no idea what is going on around them.
We have been trying to help local people get back into work, but every time we try to talk to an MP, GLA member or councillor we are given the run around of PA gatekeepers.
The family is an important part of the country and its ways but it is suffering because of the recession. We have to promote family values and a nationwide work ethic to get this country strong again.
But I fear that the so called leaders lack the courage to do anything radical, but then their pension and livelihood is guaranteed.
Why are you listening to the views of the Church? Quite bizarre.
