Croydonian is a wise man.He has written about members of the police pushing for more laws. His response is this:
"I am far more concerned that the Police should actually arrest people for the existing crimes of incitement to murder and the like, and spend less time cooking up ideas for acts that do not need to be criminalised"

Every time I read this sort of thing, James, I sigh because I've been railing against this for months on the web. It's interesting indeed that a Conservative has posted this. There is a distinct agenda and greater police powers of enter and search is very much part of it.
