I woke up in a bit of a cold sweat this morning. Part of the reason is that my throat indicates that I might have a cold coming on (just what you need in the last week of the campaign) but the main reason was the realization that it would be the responsibility of the Home Office to run the ID cards and data base.This is the same department who, under Labour, lost control of our immigration system, mislaid over a 1,000 deportable prisoners and failed to implement a firearms database.
